FAQs
Can I order wedding stationery from your website?
You can order samples of our wedding invitations only and pay for these online. Add the designs you wish to see to your shopping basket and we'll send these to you in our lovely sample pack which also contains a brochure and free postcards, all lovingly wrapped in acid free tissue paper.
Because every order for wedding stationery is unique it is not possible for us to accept this via the website. When you are ready to place an order, download the order form on the Orders & Samples page, complete and send to us by post or as an email attachment.
You can pay your deposit and final balance for your stationery via the website. We will send you details of how to do this once we have received your order.
How do I place an order?
When you are ready to place an order you can either download an order form on the Orders and Samples page or phone us and we can go through it together. A 25% non-refundable deposit is needed at this stage.
When we have received and accepted your order, you need to send your personal wedding information (a Word document via email).
We create PDF proofs of each item you have ordered and send to you for approval within 7 days. A first round of changes is free, further rounds of changes incur a £30 fee. When we have received your approved proofs, we begin to print your order.
4-6 weeks later your order will be dispatched. The remaining balance is payable before we can send your order.
How long before my wedding should I place an order?
For semi-bespoke stationery we recommend 3-4 months before your wedding day. For bespoke stationery 5 months is necessary. Of course sometimes things can’t be planned in advance. If you need your stationery sooner than this, please call us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
When should I send the wedding invitations?
Wedding invitations should be sent with plenty of time for your guests to respond and for you to fill in last minute details for caterers and table plans. Most people send them about 8 weeks before the wedding day. If you are getting married on a public holiday, between July and September when most people take holidays or getting married abroad then 10-12 weeks is more appropriate.
How many invitations should I order?
This depends on your guest list. One invite per household is usual with extras for mistakes when writing. Guests invited to the day and evening events need one invite. Some clients like to order extra invites as keepsakes of their wedding day or to include in their wedding album. If you have any queries please call us before placing your order.
How many menus do I need?
This depends on how many guests are sat at a table but usually 1 menu per 3 guests.
What wording should I put on the invitation?
This depends on what type of wedding you are having - religious or civil – traditional or contemporary - and who is hosting the wedding. We have wording suggestions for most scenarios and are happy to advise you when you place your order.
Do you cater for Civil Partnerships?
Yes, all our stationery items are suited to Civil Partnerships. Please get in touch for more information.
We are getting married abroad – what do we need to know about invitations?
Any invitations need to be sent much earlier than usual to allow your guests time to prepare. Save the Date cards are particularly useful in this situation, as you can send these 6 months to 1 year in advance to be sure your guests are free on the wedding day.
